“Chase Dreams, Plan Your Future Career”. The finals of the school competition of the 2022-2023 College Students’ Career Planning Competition of Henan Vocation College of Agriculture was successfully held in the conference hall on the third floor of the Academic Exchange Center on March 4, 2023. The competition was sponsored by the Admissions and Employment Office and undertaken by the Entrepreneurship and Employment Department. Leaders and experts from the Youth League Committee, the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Scientific Research Foreign Affairs Office served as the judges of the competition. Vice President Liu Rongning provided on-site guidance. The College Students' Career Planning Competition aims to practice the concept of “education through employment”, create a major lecture on “ideological and political education through employment”, enhance the effectiveness of career development education, strengthen students' awareness of career planning, and guide and encourage college students to establish a correct outlook on life, values and employment. This competition has been launched across the college since November 2022, and Luoyang Branch and secondary schools widely publicized and actively organized it. After a series of selections, 18 contestants qualified for the finals of the school competition. This competition was divided into two parts, written works and live competition. Written works were divided into "Career Planning Proposal” and "Career Interview Report", accounting for 20% and 15% of the total score respectively, and the live demonstration was divided into three parts, namely, PPT presentation, professional role scene simulation and defense, accounting for 40%, 15% and 10% of the total score respectively. According to the order of drawing lots, each contestant performed the PPT presentation, role scene simulation and on-site defense, and judges scored on the spot. After fierce competition, two contestants from the School of Animal Husbandry Engineering, Feng Jinghan and Liu Yujing won the first prize; Han Qingyan and other three contestants from the School of Electromechanical Engineering won the second prize; six contestants including Chang Chaoxiang from the School of Agricultural Engineering won the third prize; six contestants including Zhou Yue from the School of Tourism Management won the Excellence Award; according to the organization materials of the preliminary competition submitted by the secondary schools, the organizing committee of the competition awarded the Excellent Organization Awards to the School of Finance and Accounting, the School of Tourism Management, and the School of Agricultural Engineering after a comprehensive evaluation.
