From July 20 to 30, the “Animal Husbandry Training Courses for the Second Batch of Teachers and Teaching Innovation Teams of National Vocational Education” sponsored by the Ministry of Education and undertaken by Northeast Agricultural University was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Gao Yanling, Vice President of the College, led a professional team consisting of 9 persons engaged in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine to attend the training.
A total of 140 teachers from Henan Vocation College of Agriculture, Vocational and Technical College of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University, Shandong Vocational Animal Science and Veterinary College, Hubei Vocational College of Biotechnology, Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College, Tongren Polytechnic College and Chongqing Rongchang Vocational Education Center participated in the training.
This training invited professors in the field of animal husbandry from Northeast Agricultural University and domestic vocational education experts to give lectures, including theoretical lectures, on-site teaching and special seminars, and so on. The training covered a wide range of topics, including development of teaching materials, curriculum construction, classroom reform, virtual simulation, curriculum ideological and political education, formulation of the talent training program, innovative team construction, information teaching, etc. At the same time, each teacher and teaching innovation team introduced their construction progress respectively. During the training, the trainees visited the Animal Hospital of Northeast Agricultural University, Xiangyang Base, and Heilongjiang Agricultural Economy Vocational College. With a serious learning attitude, team members actively participated in discussions, exchanged and shared experiences with members of the cooperative community, and benefited a lot, which greatly improved their educational and teaching concepts, teaching reform, and practical teaching. This training has important guiding significance for the next stage of the team's work and points out the direction for the later construction of the team.
It is reported that in August 2021, the College was selected as the Second Batch of Teachers and Teaching Innovation Teams of National Vocational Education, and in December, the national project of the College “Development of New Forms of Textbooks for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Specialty (Group)” was approved.
