On the morning of July 4, the opening ceremony of the “Double Qualifications” teachers training program for Horticultural Techniques Major in Vocational Education in Henan Province in 2022 was held in 4104 lecture hall of our school. Zhang Xianqi, Vice President of the College, Zhu Weijun, Director of the Office of Academic Affairs, Chang Jietian, Dean of the School of Horticulture and Gardening, and Chen Gongyi, General Manager of Henan Agricultural High-tech Park Co., Ltd. attended the opening ceremony. Heads of the College Office, Office of Academic Affairs, School of Horticulture and Gardening, and 56 secondary and higher vocational teachers from all over the province attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhu Weijun.

Zhang Xianqi gave a welcome speech. On behalf of Henan Vocation College of Agriculture, he extended a warm welcome to all the teachers attending this training and introduced the history, development and basic information of the training base of our college. He pointed out that the training of "double qualifications" teachers is a concrete measure to implement the spirit of the National Education Conference and the National Implementation Plan of Vocational Education Reform. It is also an important way to improve teachers' teaching ability and professional ability. He hoped that teachers would attach great importance to this training and learning activity, adjust their mentality, make scientific planning, and devote themselves to learning to truly learn knowledge, improve their ability and complete their study and research tasks with high quality. He hoped that the School of Horticulture and Gardening would organize, scientifically arrange teaching contents, hire excellent teachers, and complete training tasks with assured quality and quantity.

On behalf of the department undertaking the training, Chang Jietian extended a warm welcome to all the teachers who participated in this training and expressed heartfelt thanks to the relevant departments and leaders who supported this training. He introduced the basic situation of the School of Horticulture and Gardening and the training of teachers in vocational colleges undertaken by the College in recent years, interpreted the curriculum, teacher requirements, and practical training conditions, and expressed his two hopes for the training. First, he hoped that teachers could overcome difficulties, abide by regulations and disciplines, handle the relationship between work and study, family life and training, strictly follow the training arrangements and epidemic prevention and control requirements, and obey management; Second, teachers should pay attention to safety, follow the operation specifications in practical training, put safety first, and come and go safely.

On behalf of all the staff of the Science and Technology Park Base, General Manager Chen Gongyi extended a warm welcome to the leaders and teachers, introduced the basic situation of the Science and Technology Park Base, and said that the staff of the Science and Technology Park would try their best to create a high-quality living and learning environment during the training period. Finally, he wished this training a complete success.

Zhu Weijun emphasized epidemic prevention, safety, and discipline, and made requirements and expressed hopes.

Trainee representative, Mr. Miao Yongping, a teacher from Jiaozuo Normal College, spoke at the ceremony. He thanked the training opportunity provided by the Double Qualifications Teachers Office of the Education Department and the thoughtful organization and warm reception of our school and extended warm welcome and greetings to his lecturers. He said that holding a training program for "double qualifications" teachers of horticultural techniques created a rare learning opportunity for the majority of trainees which would help trainees’ theoretical level, professional ability and practical ability keep up with the pace of the times, and systematically improve their professional theoretical accomplishment and professional practical operation ability so that they will accomplish their teaching and education work with great facility and ease. He also said that he would cherish the opportunity, devote himself to study with full enthusiasm and diligence, complete this training task with high quality, apply what he has learned, and make a humble contribution to the high-quality development of modern vocational education.
