At the invitation of H.E. Mr. Ephrem, the Ethiopian Minister to China, President Liu Yuan, Vice President Chen Yueying and the person in charge of the Scientific Research Foreign Affairs Office attended the "Ethiopian Trade and Cultural Tourism Promotion Day" held by the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing on September 8.

During the event, the sponsor briefed the basic information about our school, and explained the advantages of our school in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry and food processing. At the same time, the achievements and efforts made by our school in China-Africa cooperation were affirmed.

Afterwards, President Liu Yuan and Minister of Agriculture of Ethiopia, Omar Hussein signed a memorandum of understanding, agreeing to carry out substantive cooperation in five aspects, including recruitment of international students, short-term technical training, sending experts to Ethiopia to carry out technical skills training, cooperation in scientific research projects, and the preparation for the establishment of an overseas branch "Shennong College".

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Vice President Chen Yueying, Director of Scientific Research Foreign Affairs Office Gao Suling and all the guests present.

After the meeting, our representatives were invited by the Embassy of Ethiopia to have dinner and cordial talks with H.E. Omar Hussein, Minister of Agriculture of Ethiopia.

H.E. Omar Hussein expressed his strong desire to start cooperation in student exchange and staff exchange for further studies and cooperation in running schools, and looked forward to deep and long-lasting cooperation with our school at multiple levels.
